At Mode, our focus is on those who are pushing our community forward and contributing to the growth of the ecosystem. As we continue to build and expand our ecosystem, we are forking our community to distinguish between true Mode believers and mercenary airdrop farmers. Today we start the “Mode Community Hard Fork”, creating two new community channels for $MODE Holders only!

What is the Community Hard Fork?

This initiative creates two exclusive token-gated Telegram groups based on the amount of $MODE held by participants. By joining these groups, you get:

• Direct access to the Mode team and ecosystem builders

• Membership to an elite and growing community of DeFi chads

• First insights on onchain opportunities

• Build your network across the DeFi-sphere

• Be the first to hear about upcoming releases and news from Mode

• Exclusive events, merch and incentives only available to holders

Why Are We Doing This?

We’ve heard our community and understand that serious efforts can be outshined by aggressive farmers. By doing this we can ensure that true Mode believers, who are genuinely invested in our mission and ecosystem, have access to the most opportunities and earn the most rewards.

Members of our two new groups will have direct access to the Mode team, and be the first to learn about new projects, pools, programs, events and other initiatives before anyone else. If you truly believe in Mode and what we are building, we want to hear your voice above the crowd. We don’t expect these groups to have millions of members (yet), and that’s by design. 100 true fans is more important to us than a million bots. Be heard, grow together with us.

How Does it Work?

We have established two groups for the Mode Community Hard Fork:

Group One: Super Chads – The Mode Community for everyone to discuss everything Mode, DeFi and beyond

Requirement: 20k $MODE

Group Two: Giga Chads – Deeper DeFi conversations for whales and onchain enthusiasts

Requirement: 400k $MODE

Going forward, these groups will serve as the primary community channels for Mode. We will keep them open for now, but entry may close and reopen at a later date.

How to Join

How to join via Guild and gain access to the Mode TG groups:

1. Go to https://guild.xyz/mode-telegram

2. Connect your wallet that holds $MODE or has it staked

3. Verify that you have at least 20k (held/staked) for the Super Chad chat and 400k (held/staked) for the Giga Chad chat on the wallet you are connected with.

4. Click on “Join Guild” and connect your Telegram account

5. Click on “Check access to join”

6. When the requirements are satisfied, click on “Go to the group” link and enter the Chads chat.

Note: The Guild bot will routinely check wallets are still holding the tokens. Roles will be lost if the required tokens are not in the wallet.

What Happens to Discord?

The Mode Discord will stay open for the long term. But its focus will shift towards a ‘customer service’ centre where users can go with their problems.

It will no longer be the main Mode community, with this migrating to our new Telegram groups. We will also shutter some lesser used channels in Discord and direct people towards Telegram. See you in the chats Mode Chads!
